Contrary to the Japanese custom of driving on the left side of the road, this westerner is unable or unwilling to adapt his habits. He arrogantly adheres to his right-side position as well as some ideal of “cultural exchange.” In the process he manages to coerce the locals he encounters to convert to his “North American” style of driving.
