Incessant Motion While Remaining Still

2011

HDV, 1:29, Looped

Some quicksand authorities advise us to stay in motion if we ever find ourselves on the surface of a quicksand pit. According to them, as long as our feet keep moving, we will not sink. Other authorities seem to contradict, telling us that the more we move around and struggle while standing on top of that quicksand, the faster we will be sucked down. Testing the two theories, the protagonist in this video attempts to combine the imperative for continuous motion with the avoidance of struggle.
