"Nork" was the official mascot of the municipality of North York. He made many public appearances until 1997, when North York amalgamated with Toronto. Suddenly obsolete, he was retired and relegated to a storage room in city hall where he languished for over a decade. Now deflated and out of the public eye, Nork can do little more than trip the occasional careless passerby. But at least he showed up, and he kind of gets points for that...
